Treat It Right
Care is part of the build.
A premium hide rewards attention. Work the pocket with a mallet or pounding pad instead of forcing it, condition the leather lightly at the start and end of each season, and keep the glove dry and shaped between games. Done consistently, that routine buys you years of play.
Ask A QuestionShape it, don’t soak it. Use a mallet or pounding pad to form the pocket. Heat, microwaves, and ovens dry out the hide and shorten its life.
Condition sparingly. A thin coat of wax or oil twice a season is plenty. Too much product weighs the glove down and softens the structure you paid for.
Store it laced and shaped. Keep a ball in the pocket with the glove closed, somewhere dry and out of direct sun. Never leave it in a hot car or a wet bag.
Dry it slowly. If the glove gets soaked, wipe it down and let it air dry at room temperature, then condition it once it is fully dry.
